FIELD: vehicles; drive control systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drive control systems specifically designed for autonomous road vehicles. Universal autonomous vehicle control unit comprises a unit for connecting to a computer or a switch using Ethernet, unit for connection with vehicle using CAN and RS485 buses, analogue inputs, discrete inputs and outputs, inputs of connection with ignition system and with system of non-disconnected and common power supply and digital analogue converter. Analogue inputs are intended for connection to the vehicle external control facilities selected from the group: analogue sensors, pedals, analogue joysticks. Analogue outputs are designed to simulate operation of sensors and are connected to control units inside the vehicle. Discrete inputs are intended for connection to devices selected from the group: digital sensors, buttons, limit switches. Discrete outputs are connected to means selected from the group: relays, indication means, light-emitting diode lighting devices.
EFFECT: higher reliability and speed of operation of the device to ensure controllability and safety of transport.
