FIELD: geodesy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geodesy and can be used in observing displacements of landslides. Method of determining displacements of landslide includes performing measurements directly from reference benchmarks fixed outside zone of influence of landslide, installation of a goniometric device above one of them, further measurements of horizontal and vertical angles between an arbitrarily selected reference direction and a working benchmark fixed in the body of the landslide, measuring the distance between the installation site of the device and the working benchmark fixed in the body of the landslide, wherein as a target for guidance, a pole with a reflector is used, which is installed with a tip on a working benchmark, with deviations by value of 45°, by 10°, when turning by 120° relative to previous position along arc around working benchmark, without change of inclination value, further, four spatial positions of the nodal point of the prismatic reflector are approximated by a sphere by the method of least squares and the centre of this sphere is calculated, which coincides with the position of the working benchmark, by the value of deviation of the calculated radius of the sphere from the value of the height of the milestone, the mean square error of determining the position of the working benchmark is estimated, by the value of which the accuracy of determining the displacements of the landslide is determined, then, based on the obtained set of spatial positions of the working benchmark in different periods of time, calculating the distance between the two positions of the working benchmark in the periods of time when the observations were made, and determining the value of displacements of the landslide for the period of time between observations.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining spatial displacements of a landslide in the absence of direct visibility.
