FIELD: mechanical engineering, construction industry, geology. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to field of determination of geometric parameters of articles by geodetic means. Procedure consists in orientation of article in working environment of geodetic measurement aids and deviating elements. Target marks with spherical surfaces in contact points on surface of article, in working environment of measurement aids in the vicinity of article, on geodetic measurement means and on deviating elements are set. Spherical surfaces of target marks are matched with check points and characteristic points of measurement aids and deviating elements and/or with specified displacement from specified points. Operations of geometric correlation of measurement aids and deviating elements, of sighting of target marks, of measurement of angular and linear coordinates of centers of their spherical surfaces and computation of geometric parameters of article are carried out by measurement results. Target mark to establish geometric parameters of articles has basing element with lock of its position on tested article and/or in its vicinity and sighting element fixed on basing element. Part of surface of sighting element is spherical and has form of ball segment. Basing element is implemented in the form of separable adapter completing surface of sighting element to hemisphere or ball sector. Target mark is fitted with separable mirror reflector on surface of sighting element and fixing collet bushings installed in through hole of ball segment.
