SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing nitrogen-containing camphor-based derivatives, in particular to a method of producing symmetric camphor-based diimines, which can be used as vulcanization accelerators for rubber mixtures based on general-purpose rubber. Method involves reacting camphor with an aliphatic diamine while boiling in the presence of a catalyst in a toluene medium with azeotropic distillation of water. Catalyst used is zinc carboxylate with molar ratio of camphor: diamine: zinc carboxylate equal to 2.6:1:0.2.

EFFECT: high output and shorter reaction time.
