FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery, orthopaedics and veterinary science, can be used in correction and modelling of torsional deformations of long bones of human and animal extremities with functioning growth zones. During the operation, a guide template is temporarily placed on the bone to form holes in the bone according to the said guide template. A guide template is removed, and the selected plates and bone screws are inserted into the formed holes. As the growth zone functions and the longitudinal growth of the bone, the bone is corrected or deformed in time in accordance with the planned value of torsion, as well as changing the position of the bone plates in accordance with the final desired position. As growth zone functions and corresponding longitudinal bone growth, staged control X-ray images of the extremity are taken, in response to achieving the final desired position of correction and/or deformation, plates and screws are removed.

EFFECT: method provides maximum accuracy of correction and simulation of torsional deformations of long bones of extremities with functioning growth zones with preservation of minimum traumatism of surgical intervention due to peculiarities of performance of stages of correction.
