FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture and represents a method for assessing taste and nutritional properties of fodder in poultry. Method is characterized by the fact that trypsin activity is determined in duodenal chyme of fistula bird, taken 60 minutes after feeding, then after 120 minutes, wherein the activity of trypsin, obtained in the complex reflex phase of digestion regulation, shows the taste of the fodder, the higher the indicator, the tastier, and activity of trypsin, determined in 120 minutes after feeding birds, corresponds to neurochemical phase of regulation and indicates nutritional value of fodder.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to provide an objective assessment of fodder quality based on regulation of digestion processes on a living healthy body of a bird.
