FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to quantum technologies. Implemented method can be used to create quantum logic elements and quantum computations on a polariton platform. Method of controlling quantum state of polariton qubit consists in selective modulation of life time of polaritons in energy states which is carried out due to interference of the wave function of the condensate with light, which is emitted by the condensate and returned to the system by means of an external mirror embedded in the delay line after the splitting prism, at that, changing the optical delay length increases or reduces the polariton mode light emission speed, depending on the optical length of the path traversed by it, wherein the mode with the least losses will be populated with polaritons, and the spectral characteristics of the radiation deflected by the splitting prism determine the value of the quantum state of the polariton qubit.
EFFECT: implementation of the possibility of optical reliable control of quantum states of a polariton qubit and their control.
