METHOD FOR BIOLOGICAL MONITORING OF CHEMICALLY HAZARDOUS OBJECTS Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC G01W1/00 G01N33/24

Abstract RU 2821839 C1

FIELD: measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of biological monitoring of chemically hazardous objects. Method involves field and laboratory studies. At the stage of field investigations, a solution of the contaminant is spilled three times on experimental square-shaped sites embanked with soil. After that, once a month during the vegetation season, the reaction of the biota to the introduced pollutant is recorded by means of regular observations of the state of the grass cover. At the same time gross content of pollutant is determined in soil samples taken from experimental sites. At the stage of laboratory research at the first stage of research, changes in parameters of the state of woody vegetation under the effect of a solution of a pollutant are evaluated. At the second stage of research, the effect of the pollutant on the generative sphere of trees selected at the stage of field studies and exposed to the solution of the pollutant is evaluated. At the third stage of the research, the possibility of using different types of woody plants as indicators and ameliorants is assessed on the basis of measuring the rate of drying of branches of plants when they are placed in a container with water, in which the pollutant is preliminarily dissolved. At the fourth stage of research, the possibility of using herbaceous phytomeliorants for reclamation of contaminated areas is assessed by comparing properties of non-contaminated and contaminated soil-plant complexes in laboratory conditions.

EFFECT: high accuracy and efficiency of monitoring the environment in the sanitary protection zone of chemically hazardous facilities.
