SUBSTANCE: use for electromagnetic-acoustic excitation and reception of acoustic pulses. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that on the control object an electromagnetic-acoustic transducer is installed, consisting of a magnet equipped with a coil, wherein the electromagnetic-acoustic transducer is pre-covered with a short-circuited coil of a tape made of a conductive material so that the tape and the coil winding form a transformer; tape is oriented along the generatrix along the axis of the controlled object and is pressed to the controlled object through a dry contact; when emitting a signal using a flaw detector, a current pulse is supplied to the winding of the electromagnetic-acoustic transducer, electric pulses are excited in the tape due to the transformer coupling, which are converted under the action of the magnetic field into acoustic pulses, which are transmitted through the dry contact to the controlled object, and when receiving the signal, acoustic pulses coming through the dry contact from the controlled object to the tape are converted to current under the action of the magnetic field and through the transformer coupling to the coil, where they are recorded using a flaw detector.

EFFECT: providing the possibility to excite and register acoustic pulses in samples from metallic and non-metallic materials through dry contact.
