FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic-acoustic transducer for monitoring objects made from ferromagnetic material has a housing, a magnetic conductor made in form of a wheel pair whose axle is fit into the housing with possibility rotation, magnetising and detector elements. The magnetising element is made in form of a permanent magnet with the shape of a solid cylinder magnetised in the axial direction, which is mounted on the axle of the wheel pair between the wheels, with the butt-ends in contact with the lateral surface of the wheels. The detector element is joined to the housing and is mounted between the wheels over the surface of the object. Wheels of the wheel pair are in form of discs made from ferromagnetic material.

EFFECT: increased sensitivity and stability of monitoring objects made from ferromagnetic material.
