FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a synthetic resin composition for making a moulded article. Synthetic resin composition for producing a moulded article contains a synthetic resin and a nucleating agent containing at least one triazine compound described by following formula (1):

where each of Ar¹, Ar² and Ar³ independently represents an unsubstituted phenyl group or a substituted phenyl group, where the substitute of the substituted phenyl group is selected from a group consisting of an aminocarbonyl group, an unsubstituted alkyl group containing from 1 to 20 carbon atoms, an aryl group, a carboxy group or a salt thereof, and a cyano group. Synthetic resin is a polyolefin-based resin, and in formula (1) the number of substitutes on the substituted phenyl group is 1 and is located in the para-position. Invention also relates to a moulded article obtained from a synthetic resin composition, a method of producing a synthetic resin composition, a method of improving transparency of the synthetic resin composition and to the use of a triazine compound of formula (1) as a nucleating agent in a synthetic resin composition to produce a moulded article.

EFFECT: novel nucleating agent which can impart improved transparency to synthetic resins.
