FIELD: various technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: sheet aluminium is subjected to anodic oxidation at direct current in sulphuric acid electrolyte with sulphuric acid concentration of 180–200 g/l at constant temperature. Current density during anodic oxidation of sheet aluminium is 1.6–1.8 A/dm2, and duration of anodic oxidation is 65–75 minutes. After anodic oxidation, the film is filled in solutions of dyes, and then the anode coating is compacted by treatment with a silicon-containing compound. Anode coating is compacted in two steps. At the first stage, compaction is carried out in hot water with temperature of 90–95 °C. At the second stage, compaction is carried out in a sodium silicate solution at temperature of 95–100 °C with concentration of 8–15%. Total compaction time is 20 minutes.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method of increasing corrosion resistance of anodised aluminium sheet intended for laser engraving.
