FIELD: welding.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to diffusion welding of dissimilar materials and can be used, in particular, in the manufacture of elements of reactor plants and equipment for dry storage of fuel elements of water-cooled nuclear reactors (WCNR). Outer part of the assembly from austenitic steel is made with a blind hole, the cylindrical side surface of which has annular grooves of a threaded profile. Inner part of cylindrical shape from zirconium alloy is placed in hole of outer part and assembly is heated to temperature of diffusion welding. Temperature of diffusion welding is selected in range from 870 to 900 °C. After heating of assembly parts to required temperature, axial vertical load is applied to internal part and pressed into hole of external one. After pressing-in, assembly is held at specified temperature of diffusion welding till formation of diffusion layer along boundary of welded materials.

EFFECT: improvement of quality of mechanical adhesion of welded parts from dissimilar materials and reduction of technological operations at preparation of parts for diffusion welding.
