FIELD: welding jobs.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention can be used for welding structural elements of atomic and cryogenic equipment, for example the pipeline joints, i.e. zirconium-to-antirust stainless steel, titanium-to-antirust stainless steel, aluminium-to-steel etc. In compliance with the proposed method, prior to welding, the surface of a part made from chemically active metals is subjected to bombardment by ions of metals performed, the metal featuring affinity with at least one of the part material components, to clean aforesaid surface. Then a coat is applied to make a protective sublayer or a multilayer sublayer with a thickness corresponding to the amount of metal capable of diffusing completely in the substrate material to form a monolith in welding. Aforesaid coat is applied by a vacuum ionic-plasma method at the 1·10-5 to 9·10-3 mm Hg-pressure and with ion energy of 10 to 300 eV. Welding is carried out in the temperature range of 0.5 to 0.95 of the melting temperature of the least refractory metal of welded joint.
EFFECT: higher purity of welded surfaces that brings about higher strength of welded joint and reduced scatter of strength in various specimens and, azimuthally, over specimen.
