SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and specifically to equipment for generating low-frequency radio emission in the ionosphere in the frequency range from fractions of a hertz to several tens of kilohertz. Invention also relates to geological exploration of minerals by electromagnetic probing with a controlled source when searching for oil and gas, in ore and engineering geophysics.

EFFECT: increase in the size of the ionospheric source with simultaneous reduction in the mass and size parameters of the device, reduction in the cost of construction and operation thereof, possibility of creating mobile versions of the device, increasing the area of field geophysical operations serviced by one installation, the radius of which is not less than a thousand kilometres.
