FIELD: packing and storage.
SUBSTANCE: packaging machine comprises a guide member for guiding a sheet of packaging material formed in a tubular shape; sealing device for fusing the overlapping portion of the packaging material; a detection element provided downstream of the sealing device, which is hinged to the guide element and located along the welded portion of the packaging material; a biasing member for displacing the detection member outward from the guide member; as well as a detector for detecting extrusion of the detection element outward from the guide element with a defective welded portion of the packaging material formed in the tubular mould.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining a defect.
