FIELD: packaging industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a mesh package for the sale of certain foods, particularly fruits and vegetables. The plastic package comprises a tubular element (2) made as braided extruded or similar mesh and is provided with side strips (5) of the sheet material also made of plastic and connected to the tubular element by heat sealing. In the area of holes or places (3, 4) of sealing the ends of the package (1) the tubular mesh base (2) and strip ends (5) are stacked so that the strip (5) and the mesh (2) form a fold. All material forming the fold are involved in sealing the holes (3 and 4) of the package by heat sealing, and the heat-sealing seams (6, 7) are located perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the package (1), form continuous lines or lines consisting of individual sections which extend along the entire width of the strip (5) and consists of a fused mass comprising two layers (8 and 8') of the strip and two layers (9, 9') of the tubular mesh.
EFFECT: invention provides reliability of heat-sealed seams, the minimum consumption of material and technical requirements to the package.
