FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to telecommunication cabinets for heat generating equipment with cooling unit, providing the possibility of placing electrical equipment on open sites outside the premises due to the cabinet sealing, as well as the built-in cooling system. Telecommunication cabinet with cooling unit includes housing with at least one door. In the housing there are holes for inlet and outlet of recirculated air. Cooling unit includes at least one housing, in which there are openings for inlet and outlet of recirculated air and openings for inlet and outlet of external air. Inside the cooling unit, there is an external air fan, a recirculation air fan, a heat exchange device, a condenser, an evaporator and a compressor, where the condenser, evaporator and compressor are connected to each other. At that, the cooling unit is arranged in such a way that the cabinet recirculation air outlet hole is connected to the cooling unit recirculation air inlet hole, and the cabinet recirculation air inlet hole with the cooling unit recirculation air outlet hole. Cooling unit is made with possibility of operation both in free cooling mode, and in mixed mode, and includes control board and external air temperature sensor connected to it. Control board is configured to set free cooling mode or mixed mode on the basis of ambient air temperature sensor readings.

EFFECT: technical result consists in modular design of telecommunication cabinet with cooling unit, high degree of system scalability, as well as reduction of power consumption without reduction of cooling efficiency under any weather conditions.
