FIELD: microbiological production of bacterial cellulose.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microbiological production of bacterial cellulose, which can be used in medicine, industry and engineering. Bioreactor for producing bacterial cellulose includes a housing with a heat exchange jacket, unions for supply and discharge of air mixture, unions for supply and discharge of cultural liquid, a shaft on bearings connected to a drive. Housing with heat exchange jacket is horizontal. Disc flanges are rigidly fixed on the shaft, which are connected to the shell of cylindrical shape, forming a drum, the radius of the working surface of which is equal to Rd=0.9R. Annular gap between working surfaces of housing and drum is equal to 0.1R, where R is radius of housing.

EFFECT: use of a bioreactor provides reduced power consumption, higher efficiency, reduced cycle time while maintaining high quality of the finished product due to imparting a horizontal position to the housing of the bioreactor and providing it with a rotating drum located inside.
