BIOREACTOR FOR CULTIVATION OF AUTOTROPHIC MICROORGANISMS Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC C12M1/00 C12M1/04 C12M1/06

Abstract RU 2839375 C1

FIELD: chemistry; biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to film apparatus for culturing autotrophic microscopic organisms and can be used in microbiological, feedstuff, pharmaceutical, chemical and other industries. Bioreactor comprises a cylindrical housing divided by horizontal partitions into sections for inlet, illumination with an inner mirror surface and outlet of the culture fluid; film-forming devices; transparent recirculation pipe located in the lighting section; cooling air inlet and outlet branch pipes; bubbling device; shaft located inside recirculation pipe with rotary supercharger fixed on it; frame mixers and impeller mixer. Transparent recirculation pipe is installed with possibility of rotation. In horizontal partitions there are cavities of cylindrical shape, in which transparent tubes are installed with possibility of rotation relative to axis of symmetry. Two incandescent lamps are installed coaxially in the lighting section. On transparent tubes and on transparent recirculation tube between incandescent lamps there are plastic gears, kinematic pairs of which, when engaged, form cylindrical gear transmissions of torque from transparent recirculation pipe to transparent tubes. Openings are cut out in the transparent recirculation tube for the culture fluid overflow from the transparent recirculation tube into the inlet section.

EFFECT: bioreactor allows to increase output of finished biomass due to increase of pressure of liquid film to walls of transparent tubes from action of centrifugal force, which provides reliable contact of gas with liquid and prevents stripping of liquid film in conditions of varying concentration of biomass along height of transparent tubes.
