FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in cylinder heads of internal combustion engines (ICE) with liquid cooling. ICE cylinder head (1) with liquid cooling comprises upper plate (2) and bottom (3) connected by side walls (4) and (5). Cavity (6) for cooling liquid is made between lower part of upper plate (2) and bottom (3). Upper surface of upper plate (2) is lower surface of cavity for arrangement of gas-distributing mechanism and oil for lubrication and cooling of parts of gas-distributing mechanism. On the upper surface of upper plate (2) of the cylinder head there are structural elements—cooling ribs (8) with height of more than 1 mm from the surface. Ribs (8) are designed to increase the area of contact of engine oil with the surface of upper plate (2) of the cylinder head.
EFFECT: reduced temperature of engine oil heated in timing mechanism drive components due to increased area of contact with cooled surface of ICE cylinder head.
