FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, in particular to gear pumps, and can be used for pumping melts of polymers and high-viscosity fluids at low speeds of rotation of gears. Gear pump includes housing 1 with end covers 2, in cylindrical bores of which there are shafts with gears 4, 5 installed on sliding bearings 3. At least six detachable pins 9, 10 are installed in the housing with the possibility of their heating. Pins 9, 10 have different length and are installed so that to cover with thermal influence all areas around the main channel, where the working medium flows. Pins 9, 10 are as far as possible from sliding bearings 3. Labyrinth seals 8 are installed on shafts. Technical characteristics of gears 4, 5 are determined using the value of modulus of gear wheels obtained by a certain relationship.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at improvement of efficiency and reliability of gear pump operation at low rotation speed of gears.
