METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING SIALADENOSIS OF PAROTID SALIVARY GLANDS Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC G01N33/497 C12Q1/04 C12Q1/686 A61B6/03

Abstract RU 2822709 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry, and can be used for diagnosing sialadenosis of parotid salivary glands. Performing an external examination of the oral cavity, performing sialometry of the parotid salivary glands with obtaining a salivary secretion collected in a graduated test tube, and subsequent examination of salivary glands using computed tomography with contrast enhancement of secretion of parotid salivary glands. Prior to the examination, 1 ml of parotid salivary secretion is taken from the graduated test tube and delivered for rapid urease test and 0.5 ml of parotid salivary secretion for Helicobacter pylori (HP) polymerase chain reaction. If observing an increase in the parotid salivary glands, swelling, narrowing, ectasia and strictures of the excretory ducts of the parotid salivary glands, functional and evacuation disorders of salivation by computed tomography and determination of the HP in secretion of parotid salivary glands by means of rapid urease test and PCR diagnose sialadenosis of parotid salivary glands associated with HP.

EFFECT: method enables safe, non-invasive, convenient, simple and easy-to-reproduce, not causing discomfort to determine HP in the secretion of the parotid salivary glands in patients with sialadenosis and acid-dependent diseases of the gastrointestinal tract by external examination of the oral cavity, performing sialometry of parotid salivary glands, examining secretion using urease test and PCR for HP and examining parotid salivary glands using computed tomography.
