FIELD: cosmonautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automatic remote-controlled vehicles for exploration of the Moon and other planets. Lunar rover with motorized wheels comprises an electric motor, a reduction gear, the output shaft of which is connected to the wheel. Lunar rover comprises an unlocking mechanism and a chassis automation unit, comprising a movement unit connected to the motor wheels, a stop unit connected to the movement unit, current protection unit connected to stop unit, and wheel unlocking unit connected to motor wheels. Wheel unlocking unit is connected to the current protection unit.
EFFECT: elimination of motor short circuit is achieved by means of its disconnection from power supply in case of wheel jam, as well as improvement of reliability.
