FIELD: veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary science, namely to virology, and can be used for prevention of viral diarrhoea of mucosal disease in calves. After entering the cattle-breeding farm, the fattening calves at age of 30 days are introduced to the inactivated viral vaccine "Kombovac K" and the immunomodulator "Imactin". Immunomodulator is introduced twice with interval of 2 days in dose of 0.1 mg/kg of animal’s live weight. Vaccine is administered 2 days after the last administration of the immunomodulator, and the administration is repeated 14–20 days later.
EFFECT: method provides a synergetic effect consisting of reducing the risk of viral diarrhoea of the mucosal disease in calves and the absence of their death due to the use of the immunomodulator "Imactin" and the vaccine "Kombovac K".
