FIELD: various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of technical carbon. Reactor for producing technical carbon comprises a housing in which are arranged in series a combustion chamber, equipped with an air supply chamber and a gas inlet chamber, mixing channels, in which raw nozzles are installed, reaction chamber for outlet of cooled soot-gas products, in which water nozzles are installed for pre-hardening and cooling of soot-gas mixture. Air chamber has a square cross section and contains trapezoidal swirlers with holes installed on the inner surfaces. Gas feed chamber has a variable cross-section from a circular one in the inlet zone to an oval one in the combustion chamber. Channels are inclined to the axis of the housing and have the shape of truncated cones, the smaller vertices of which are located on the side of the combustion chamber.
EFFECT: providing intensive flow turbulence.
