METHOD OF TREATING PSYCHOSOMATIC MANIFESTATIONS OF DORSOPATHIES IN DISEASES OF MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61M21/00

Abstract RU 2823158 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, orthopaedics and psychology, and can be used in treating psychosomatic manifestations of dorsopathies accompanying musculoskeletal disorders. Preliminary, at the stage of diagnosis, the most painful region of spine is detected, and the direction of movement with the greatest pain is determined. Further, with the underlying use of a complex of methods of physical therapeutic action, a psychological therapeutic action is carried out before bedtime – auto-training exercises for switching attention. Patient performs them in stages using a clock with hour, minute and second hands and a dial with second divisions, step of 1 second. Time intervals corresponding to intervals of subsequent exercise of switching attention between positive, negative and neutral objects or phenomena or events are previously marked on the clock face using colourful adhesive stickers. To concentrate attention on a positive object, phenomenon or event, an interval on the dial is marked with a green sticker, on a neutral one – with a blue one, on a negative one – with a red one. At subsequent stages of switching attention at the beginning of concentration on a negative object, or phenomenon, or event, active movement is started in the identified spine in the direction at which the greatest pain occurs, moving until pain appears. When concentrating on a neutral object, or a phenomenon, or an event, no movements are performed. At the beginning of concentration of attention on a positive object, or a phenomenon, or an event, movement is started in the same spine in the direction opposite to that which caused the greatest pain at the stage of diagnosis. Five stages of training for switching attention are carried out, according to formula of invention, on each of which the duration of concentration on the negative object, phenomenon or event is gradually reduced until it is completely eliminated, while the duration of periods of concentration on the positive object, phenomenon or event is increased.

EFFECT: method provides achieving a stable and prolonged effect in the treatment of psychoemotional and psychosomatic manifestations of dorsopathies accompanying musculoskeletal disorders, with improved quality of life of the patient, stable reduction of pain and anxiety-depressive syndrome intensity in the given group of patients due to the combination of techniques of the claimed invention.
