FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to the method of accumulator batteries recovery, and can be used at recovery of the lost capacity of accumulator batteries and their service life extension. Battery recovery method includes the following steps: an open battery is opened, the electrolyte is drained, washed with distilled water, then filled with 20% NaHCO3 solution, connected to a pulse current source with voltage of 12.1–12.6 V and current strength of 1–5 A, charge-discharge cycles are carried out for 2–6 days, then the battery is washed with distilled water, electrolyte with density of 1.27 is poured and charged, measuring voltage, and if the voltage is within the normal range, then the recovery process is completed, if the voltage is below the norm, then the polarity reversal process is carried out, the battery is discharged to 5 V and then the polarity reversal is performed on the pulse discharge-charging generator for 5–7 days.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of accumulator batteries recovery, as well as increase of their service life after recovery.
