FIELD: methods and devices for metal processing.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a plate for centerless turning of a workpiece, a plate holder and a tool assembly containing them. Double-sided square plate for centerless turning of a workpiece and a plate holder made with seats for holding two such square plates. Each plate has four peripheral auxiliary surfaces and angles. Between adjacent corners of each pair there is a cutting edge, which includes a straight cleaning auxiliary edge and two at least partially bent auxiliary edges of centerless turning, respectively located on opposite sides of cleaning auxiliary edge. Angles of said plate are arranged inward relative to imaginary square formed by auxiliary edges.
EFFECT: improvement of the insert for centerless turning of the workpiece and the insert holder for it.
