FIELD: power cables.
SUBSTANCE: power cable contains copper wire 1, current-conducting core 2, insulating layer 3, covered with light indication layer, and outer protective shell 7. Light indication layer includes luminophore layer 4, electroluminophore layer 5 and thermochrome layer 6. Luminophore layer 4 and electroluminophore layer 5 are applied on insulating layer 3 by alternating segments in the cable cross-section. Thermochrome layer 6 is applied in the form of transverse rings along the cable length over luminophore 4 and electroluminophore 5 layers with alternation of the rings and thermochrome-free 6 surface of luminophore 4 and electroluminophore 5 layers.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of fast detection of the cable in the dark and providing visual indication of the presence of voltage or current.
