FIELD: luminescent materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of obtaining luminescent materials and the field of manufacturing cables with a light-emitting layer containing a phosphor, and can be used in the manufacture of power cables intended for non-traditional laying (aerial or mine), requiring constant or periodic visual control of the position of the cable in space. A power cable with a light-emitting sheath includes conductive cores covered with an insulating coating, on which a shielding layer and a protective light-emitting sheath containing luminescent powder are applied. The protective sheath has a thickness of 1.2-1.5 mm and is made of a transparent PVC compound containing 1-15 wt. % luminescent powder. The dry mixture of luminescent powder contains, wt. %: Al2O3 - 12.0-15.0, Eu2O3 - 21.0-26.0, MgO - 4.0-8.0, Cu2O - 4.0-8.0, Sr2CO3 - 43.0-47, 0, HBO3 - 4.0-8.0.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the visibility of the cable in low light conditions.
