FIELD: various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of regenerating a diatomite sorbent and can be used in the chemical, food and construction industries. Method consists in the fact that the wet mass, which contains the spent sorbent, water and organic products of the food industry, is subjected to thermal treatment. Treatment is carried out in air flow with volume rate of 0.5 m3/h at atmospheric pressure with heating to 120°C and holding for 4 hours, then the mass is heated in linear heating mode at a heating rate of 5°/min to 200–600°C and held at this temperature for 3 hours.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of sorbent regeneration and reduced power consumption.
