FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in food, petrochemical and chemical industries, at poultry and meat processing enterprises of the agroindustrial complex, as well as in treatment of waste water in oil processing, machine building, thermal and nuclear power engineering. Method of producing hydrophobic sorption material involves thermal treatment of raw material, cooling and separation into fractions. 75-95 wt. % of diatomite sludge formed during refining of vegetable oils is mixed with 5-25 wt. % of dust from cleaning of exhaust gases of ceramsite gravel production. Thermal treatment of the crude mixture is carried out at temperature of 450 °C for 15-30 minutes.
EFFECT: invention allows to reduce energy consumption of the process of obtaining a hydrophobic sorption material, increase the output of the end product, improve the quality of the hydrophobic sorption material, efficiency of purifying natural and waste water from oil and oil products; expanding the range of oil sorption materials due to use of industrial mineral wastes.
