FIELD: chemistry; oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of chemical, gas-chemical and petrochemical industry and realizes chemical-technological processes, in which catalytic reactors of tubular type with loading of granular catalyst are used. Invention relates to a reactor for producing synthesis gas with layer-by-layer filling of reactor channels with alternating layers of catalyst and layers of spherical metal particles, wherein the height of the catalyst layer is equal to the inner diameter of the reactor channel, the thickness of the layer of metal particles is not less than twice the thickness of the walls of the reactor channel, and the equivalent diameter of the metal particles and catalyst granules are equal.
EFFECT: invention provides uniform heating of catalyst layer with increased diameters of reactor channels – diameters larger than those selected from the condition of equality of the catalyst heating time and the time of contact of the reaction mixture of gases with the catalyst, and also provides high efficiency of the reactor.
