SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering and can be worn by employees at a construction/production/industrial enterprise/enterprises and the like to determine for each occupation what a person does: works, walks or stands idle. Smart watch for determining the activity of an employee during a shift consists of a housing with straps, an optical sensor, mechanical buttons, a battery, an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a colour display and a protective glass. Upper part of the housing contains a board with a combined antenna for transmitting data using Wi-Fi, LoraWAN and NFC, a colour display for indicating the status of the smart clock and visual control of the smart clock settings with a loop for connection to the central board installed on the board with the combined antenna, protective glass mounted on a colour display, an overlay plastic ring connected to the upper part for visual identification of the smart watch without switching on. System for determining the activity of an employee includes a server configured to receive data from a smart clock for analysing the activity of an employee during a work shift, detecting emergency situations and determining the location of an employee during a work shift.

EFFECT: development of a smart clock for determining the activity of an employee and a system for determining the activity of an employee, which will enable to obtain more accurate information on the activity of an employee during a shift.
