FIELD: cellulose production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of making a structural element containing recycled cellulose-containing materials, a binding composition containing microfibrillated cellulose and dispersed inorganic material. Method involves providing a first aqueous suspension of recycled cellulose-containing materials, which is milled with concentration of 0.1–10 wt.%. Method also involves providing a second aqueous suspension of microfibrillated cellulose and dispersed inorganic materials, wherein the ratio of dispersed inorganic materials to microfibrillated cellulose ranges from 99.5:0.5 to 0.5:99.5. First and second suspensions are mixed, wherein mixture contains 0.5–25 wt.% microfibrillated cellulose. Mixture is pumped into forming device including press. Structural element is dehydrated and formed, at that, structural element has thickness of at least 6 mm and increased modulus of elasticity and modulus of rupture.
EFFECT: enabling production of structural elements from recycled cellulose-containing materials, which can themselves be recycled at the end of their service life, thereby providing a closed life cycle for the product.
