FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a water-soluble nonwoven fabric and related compositions, specifically to a water-soluble nonwoven fabric for packaging aggressive chemical compositions. Disclosed is an article with a single dose, comprising a bag having an outer wall, wherein the outer wall has an outer surface and an inner surface which determines the inner volume of the package, and a composition contained in the inner volume of the package, which contains an aggressive chemical substance which contains an oxidising agent, a base or a combination thereof. Outer wall comprises a nonwoven fabric containing a plurality of fibres containing: (a) a sulphonate-modified polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) fibre-forming material containing a sulphonate anionic monomer unit; (b) or a mixture of fibre-forming materials comprising a sulphonate-modified fibre-forming material of polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) in combination with polyvinylpyrrolidone and a carboxyl-modified polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) containing a carboxylate anionic monomer link. At that, fibre-forming material from PVOH modified with sulphonate groups has degree of hydrolysis of at least 95 %, and the sulphonate anionic monomer is present in an amount ranging from about 1 mol. % to about 5 mol. %.

EFFECT: proposed approach enables to obtain a water-soluble package that quickly releases the contents of the bag to ensure a more uniform distribution, which can remain water-soluble after storage in contact with the contents of the package, while with less tendency to stick to the other water-soluble package.
