FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical technology of fluoride salts and can be used to produce aluminium fluoride. Method of producing aluminium fluoride involves treatment of 20–22 wt.% hydrofluorosilicic acid with an aluminium-containing compound, separation of silica gel by filtration, washing of silica gel, crystallisation of aluminium fluoride trihydrate from combined solution of filtrate and washing water, aluminium fluoride trihydrate is separated by filtration, aluminium fluoride trihydrate is dried and calcined to obtain aluminium fluoride. Aluminium-containing compound used is amorphous hydrated aluminium oxide – a product of acid processing of the Kola nepheline concentrate.
EFFECT: increasing the amount of neutralized hydrofluorosilicic acid – a waste product from the production of extraction phosphoric acid.
