FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrometallurgy of non-ferrous and precious metals and can be used in processing of carbonaceous gold-containing concentrates having double process resistance due to fine dissemination of gold in the sulphide matrix and the presence of a natural carbonaceous substance, which is sorption-active with respect to the gold-cyanide complex. Method involves preliminary pulping of a carbonaceous gold-containing concentrate in an aqueous solution of a surfactant and its subsequent nitric acid leaching at concentration of nitric acid of 5 mol/dm3 at atmospheric pressure, temperature of 85±10 °C and duration of 90 minutes, filtration, washing, drying and cyanidation of cake.
EFFECT: method increases extraction of gold and reduces consumption of nitric acid.
