FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology, and can be used in patients after surgical treatment of cicatrical stenosis of vestibular and vocal larynx of various aetiologies. Stent-dilator is made of elastic material, solid, consists of main cylinder, upper part in the form of hemisphere and lower part made for fixation in upper lead of standard T-shaped silicone tracheostomy tube. Diameter of the main cylinder of the stent-dilator is equal to the outer diameter of the upper abduction of the T-shaped tracheostomy tube, and the diameter of the lower part of the stent-dilator is equal to the inner diameter of the upper abduction of the T-shaped tracheostomy tube into which it is fixed. Total height of the stent-dilator is selected depending on the individual dimensions of the patient. When installing the stent-dilator, depending on the anatomical features of the patient, preliminary the upper abduction of the T-shaped silicone tracheostomy tube is cut so that the stent-dilator according to cl. 1 is located in the vestibular larynx, without disturbing the separating function of the epiglottis, then the stent-dilator is inserted with the lower part into the upper abduction of the T-shaped tracheostomy tube so that the lower part is completely inserted into the tube, further, the T-shaped tube with the dilator stent is brought through the tracheostoma and inserted into the laryngotracheal lumen so that the vocal folds are separated. Stent-dilator provides reliable maintenance of the lumen of the vestibular and vocal larynx in the postoperative period, considerable reduction of traumatisation of mucous membrane of vocal folds and laryngeal surface of epiglottis with sharp edges of T-shaped tracheostomy tube.

EFFECT: use of the stent-dilator allows reducing the number of postoperative complications, reducing the risks of restenosis and accelerating the length of rehabilitation of the patients with cicatrical stenosis.
