FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to otorhinolaryngology and can be used for treating patients after surgical interventions for cicatricial stenosis of subfolding larynx and initial cervical trachea of various etiologies. Protector-dilator for treatment and prevention of restenosis in patients with subfolding cicatricial stenosis of larynx and initial cervical trachea, which is intended for installation in upper abduction of T-shaped silicone tracheostomy tube. Protector is made of elastic material, has solid mushroom shape with total height of 20 mm, consisting of upper hemispherical part with height of 10 mm and lower cylindrical part with height of 10 mm, diameter of the upper part of the protector-dilator is equal to the outer diameter of the upper abduction of the T-shaped tracheostomy tube. Diameter of the lower part of the protector-dilator is equal to the inner diameter of the upper abduction of the T-shaped tracheostomy tube into which it is fixed. Upper abduction of the T-shaped silicone tracheostomy tube is cut so that the protector dilator is located in the subfolding portion of the larynx. Then the protector-dilator is inserted by the lower cylindrical part into the upper abduction of the T-shaped tracheostomy tube so that the lower cylindrical part is completely inserted into the tube, further, a T-shaped tube with a dilator protector is introduced through a tracheostoma and inserted into a laryngotracheal lumen.
EFFECT: reliable maintenance of the lumen of the subfolding larynx in the postoperative period and a significant reduction in the mucous membrane of the subfolding larynx and vocal folds by the sharp edges of the T-shaped tracheostomy tube; this leads to reduction of number of postoperative complications, to reduction of length of hospital treatment and length of rehabilitation, as well as prevention of restenosis of subfolding larynx and subsequent repeated surgical interventions.
