FIELD: fiber-optic sensor systems.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to devices for detecting signals from interference fiber-optic sensors. Disclosed device includes a broadband light source with a short coherence length, a reference interferometer, a receiver and a signal processing unit which implements a homodyne demodulation algorithm. Difference in the lengths of the arms of the reference interferometer is selected to be equal to the delay of interfering waves in the sensor, and modulation is carried out not in the sensor, but in the reference interferometer.

EFFECT: detecting change in the optical length of the sensor element with resolution of 0.1 nm in a wide frequency band.
