FIELD: polymers.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a heterophase polypropylene composition for high-transparency films, based on the excellent compatibility of a statistical copolymer of propylene and 1-hexene, used as a matrix, with various types of external modifiers dispersed inside the matrix. The polypropylene composition for films comprises a mixture of (a) a propylene copolymer containing from 2.5 to 12.0 wt.% 1-hexene as a comonomer as calculated for the weight of the propylene copolymer, with a melt flow index MFI2 from 0.1 to 100 g/10 min, determined at a temperature of 230°C and a 2.16 kg load, and (b) a homo- or copolymer of ethylene with a melt flow index MFI2 from 0.05 to 30.0 g/10 min, determined at a temperature of 190°C and a 2.16 kg load, and a density from 850 to 920 kg/m3, wherein the ethylene copolymer contained in the homo- or copolymer of ethylene constitutes a copolymer of ethylene and 1-octene, wherein the melt flow index MFI2 of the polypropylene composition, determined at a temperature of 230°C and a 2.16 kg load is in the range from 1.0 to 12.0 g/10 min. The invention additionally relates to a method for producing such polypropylene composition and to a film, in particular, a cast film produced from such polypropylene composition.
EFFECT: creation of a polypropylene composition suitable for producing high-transparency films.
