FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an aerosol generator capable of reducing current consumption by varying the voltage level of a DC converter during operation. Aerosol generator comprises electric energy accumulator, DC converter, which is connected between accumulator and heater drive, a heater drive, to which an output voltage is supplied from a DC converter, a microcontroller, which supplies a control signal to the heater drive; heater, to which power is supplied from the heater drive for heating; a temperature sensor which measures the temperature of the heater and is connected to the microcontroller; and power control unit, which is connected between microcontroller and DC converter and changes DC converter output voltage by means of microcontroller control, wherein the power control unit includes a field-effect transistor, which is turned on and off by control from the microcontroller; and resistance variation circuit, which includes a first resistor, a second resistor and a third resistor, connected to a common contact for them, wherein the free ends of the first, second and third resistors are connected, respectively, between the output terminal of the DC converter and the heater drive, to the "ground" and to the field-effect transistor, in which DC converter feedback terminal is connected between first and second resistors, in which voltage at DC converter feedback terminal is constant, and the microcontroller controls the on-off mode of the field-effect transistor to change the resistance of the resistance changing circuit, and thus changing the output voltage of the DC converter.
EFFECT: longer battery life.
