SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an aerosol generator and more specifically to an aerosol generator with a complex heating, which is capable of heating a smoking article comprising a plurality of aerosol-forming substrates. Aerosol generator with complex heating includes: first heating means for heating the outer side of the first aerosol-forming substrate of the smoking article in a first temperature range; second heating means for heating the outer side of the second aerosol-forming substrate of the smoking article in a second temperature range; third heating means for heating the inner surface of one or more of the first and second aerosol-forming substrates of the smoking article in a third temperature range; a substrate recognition sensor for detecting the first aerosol-forming substrate and the second aerosol-forming substrate; and a control unit electrically connected to the substrate recognition sensor and the battery, which receives DC power from accumulator and controls first, second and third heating means separately, wherein control unit determines temperature profile for first heating means, temperature profile for the second heating means and temperature profile for the third heating means based on values obtained from the substrate recognition sensor.

EFFECT: aerosol generator with complex heating is proposed.
