FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sorption extraction of rare-earth elements. Method for sorption extraction of metals on an aminothioether sorbent includes a step for adding halide ions to the solution before adding the sorbent. Sorption is carried out with respect to rare-earth metals selected from Sc to Nd and Sm to Lu, wherein the concentration of each of the rare-earth elements in the solution ranges from 100 to 500 mcg/l. Aminothioester sorbent used is 1-carboxy-2-/perhydro(1,3,5-dithiazine)/-5-ylethane in concentration of 10 g/l. Halide ions are fluoride ions with concentration in solution of 1⋅10-9 to 2.1 g/l, the solution is held while stirring at temperature of 80 °C for 90 minutes.
EFFECT: method enables sorption of rare-earth elements from aqueous solutions, is characterized by a high degree of extraction using the aminothioether complexing sorbent 1-carboxy-2-/perhydro(1,3,5-dithiazine)/-5-ylethane.
