FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrument making, namely to inertial switches intended for switching electric circuits of movable objects. Inertial switch comprises a sealed housing filled with a damping fluid, with an inertial body with a spring, a thermal compensator and a contact system with a bridging device. Housing is made with a partition separating the volumes with an inertial body and a contact system, as well as a second partition separating the interconnected volumes with a thermal compensator and a contact system. There is a cylindrical hole in the partition between the volumes with the inertial body and with the contact system, in which there is a fixture in the form of a ball, which contacts with the inertial body and holds the bridging device against turning. Inertial body is made in the form of a hollow cylinder with two annular grooves on the outer cylindrical surface for ball entry. Washers are secured at cylinder ends. Inside the cylinder there is an axial guide, on which two sleeves with an external end collar are installed with possibility of axial movement. Sleeves are placed in the cylinder cavity between the washers by their collars and are oriented with them towards each other; at that, the sleeves are pressed by the spring to the opposite sides till the stop of the sleeve outer ends against the housing parts, and of the end collars – against the washers.
EFFECT: providing operation of the inertial switch in the presence of acceleration in any of two axial directions for expansion of versatility of application.
