FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental biology. Chickens are kept in a cage battery in which stocking density of chickens is 0.25 m2 per one head. Then blood samples are taken on 10th and 30th day of the experiment. Vitamins E, C and coenzyme Q10 are determined in blood serum. If the values of said parameters decrease on 30th day as compared to the first study, a model of oxidative stress in laying hens is obtained.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain a model of oxidative stress in laying hens, which in turn makes it possible to develop an effective and reliable method for early and accurate diagnosis of oxidative stress in laying hens by determining the level of non-enzymatic antioxidants in blood serum of laying hens—vitamins E, C, and coenzyme Q10.
