FIELD: radio navigation.
SUBSTANCE: method relates to radio navigation and can be used in local navigation systems (LNS) in cross-country conditions and in the absence of global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signals. In the disclosed method, the LNS reference points (RP) are raised above the Earth's surface on quadcopters, determination of coordinates of navigation objects based on an asynchronous differential-ranging method using as a navigation signal individual for each RP and known at the central point (CP) pulse sequences with a variable pulse repetition period and which do not require synchronization with each other, and synchronization of RP signals is performed during operation by alignment of time scale on CP.
EFFECT: high protection against imitation interference and unauthorized access to the system, possibility of operation of the LNS in conditions of rough terrain, absence or distortion of GNSS signals.
