FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method for cultivating rose chafer, which includes filling an insectarium with a nutrient substrate containing 40% of sod soil and 60% of cellulose-containing wastes, then one introduces fodder—thinly cut slices of apples smeared with honey, and additional feeding—whole flowers of elder, add male and female imagoes and keep them for 30 days in a given mode, laid eggs are incubated in an incubator filled with sand and isolated peat with dead birch leaves for 12 days in a given mode, after hatching, the larvae are transferred into fattening containers filled with a nutrient substrate moistened to 75–85% and kept for 12 weeks at a given mode. Third instar larvae in 90% of fattening containers are grown to prepupal stage and removed, and third instar larvae in 10% of fattening containers are grown to pupae for 8 days, then immersed in a processed nutrient substrate, incubated for 14 days at 27°C, newborn imagoes are moved to an insectarium.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain enriched protein biomass using cellulose-containing wastes.
